IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terivio Andrea
Jenkins
June 6, 1975 – May 28, 2024
Terivio Andrea Jenkins, son of Amanda Jenkins and Donald Mathis, was born June 6, 1975, in Albany, Georgia. Throughout the early years of his life, he was nurtured and cared for by his mother and loving bonus father, Johnny Brown.
He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System.
Chubby, a name given to him during infancy and followed him into adulthood, was a very lively high-spirited individual who embraced life with open arms. He had a mind that never ceased questioning and a serious twinkle in his eyes that captured the heart of everyone around him. A very conscientious, hardworking young man, Terivio gave equal importance to every task that he encountered. He was employed at Johnny Carino's in Albany and Warner Robins, Georgia for numerous years. His final work experience was car detailing at Rainey's Auto Sales. Throughout his employment, he worked diligently to ensure that he rendered the highest quality of service.
Music was an integral part of Chubby's life. He had a profound fondness for dancing and created the "Chubby Alf" which became widely known as his special dance moves. Terivio also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, engaging in dice and card games, and joining in a friendly game of basketball or football. He had a special way of getting to know people and becoming a part of their lives. A force to the reckoned with in the denim jeans arena, Chubby made a riveting fashion statement each time he stepped out in his pristine, white, heavily starched Levi jeans. Upon entering a room, he definitely turned heads! His enthusiasm was contagious and his exuberance was most memorable.
Terivio departed this earthly life on May 28, 2024, at St. Francis Emory Healthcare in Columbus, Georgia. Although his transition leaves a void in the hearts of family and friends, his unforgettable life will continue to linger on. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ulysses Jenkins, Katie Jenkins, and Lillie Brown; and his sister, Teresa Warren.
Cherished memories will forever remain with his loving mother and bonus father, Amanda Jenkins and Johnny Brown; his father, Donald Mathis; siblings, Asia Johnson, Nekeydra, Brown, Nekeyria Brown, Nekeysia Brown, Eric Jenkins, and Jamie Jenkins; favorite cousins, Eric Mathis, Sr., Karim Aqeel, and Waheed Aqeel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
