Obituary

Termesha Jackson was born March 21, 1971, in Newark, New Jersey. She was the loving daughter of Leroy Johnson and the late Annie Dora Jackson.

She received her early childhood and secondary education in the Newark Public School District.  Her inquisitive nature and zeal for learning prompted her to continue her education at Essex County College, where she was awarded an A.S. degree.

Very early in life, Termesha accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She dearly loved the Lord and remained humble throughout life's journey.

Often described as a beautiful, free-spirited individual who put a lot of effort into making others happy, Termesha gave her best in all that she did.  She was the devoted mother of Andrew, India, and Emmanuel; and the epitome of selfless, unconditional love.  Termesha was a hard worker with many remarkable accomplishments in her professional life, but even more remarkable were the qualities that made her a wonderful mother and friend.  She was kind, loving, generous, and possessed a special presence about her that captured the hearts of everyone in her midst.  Her smile would brighten a gloomy day, her laughter was contagious, her voice was one of calm, comfort, and humility.  She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life.

On August 12, 2025, Termesha transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Annie Ruth Jackson and Rosa Lee Forte Chester; aunts, Gwen Green and Jessie Johnson; nephew, Devin L. Jackson; and a very special cousin, Cookie.

Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Andrew T. Jackson, India L. S. Jackson, and Emmanuel E. Clark; her father, Leroy Johnson; siblings, Ronda C. Johnson, Eric V. Jackson, Stantly P. Jackson, and Turquoise J. Brown; aunts and uncles, Joann Laster, Gladys McRoy, Laura Johnson, Lillie Chester, Charles Johnson, Raymond (Marilyn) Chester, Willie Chester, and William Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
