IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Louie
Harris
July 1, 1957 – July 10, 2017
Terry Harris, the son of the late Thomas Harris, Sr. and Bessie James Harris, was born on July 1, 1957, in Albany, Georgia.
He attended the public schools of Dougherty County and graduated from Dougherty Comprehensive High School. While at Dougherty, he participated in various school functions and activities.
Having professed his faith and belief in Christ during the early years of his life, Terry was baptized and received the "right hand of fellowship" into the body of Christ.
Terry was a persistent, hardworking man who diligently cared for the needs of his family. He was an incredibly skilled welder who utilized his talent for numerous years at Alcon where he labored untiringly and took great pride in his work.
Bear, as he was affectionately called, was a loving companion, caring father and grandfather, committed brother and uncle, and loyal cousin and friend who embraced opportunities and the chance to experience life with open arms. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, laughing and appreciating life, and helping anyone in need.
On Monday, July 10, 2017, he departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest.
His love and memories will forever be cherished by his devoted companion of over 30 years, Mary M. Hunt; three stepdaughters, Regina Hunt-Brown (Aaron), Patricia Hunt, and Jackie Hunt-Duddley (Jaron); eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; his brother, Thomas Harris, Jr. of Florida; five aunts, Sadie Robinson, Ann Johnson, Glendette (AD) Thomas, Susie Lyerly, and Runnette Johnson; two uncles, Larry (Cassandra) James and Carvin (Barbara) James; three close and special friends, James Stevens, Willie Helper and Willie Jackson; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
The LORD Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
