A Time to Be Born: Timothy L. Baker was born in Albany, Georgia. He was the son of Patricia Holmes and Johnny Baker.
A Time to Learn: He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Dougherty Comprehensive High School where he was active in numerous school activities and events.
A Time to Love: BakerBoi as he was affectionately called , was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and cousin who had an endless reservoir of love and compassion for his family. Throughout his life, he constantly practiced the teachings of his grandmother, the late Bertha Peterson—"love one another, be respectful to everyone, and always make family your priority." Bo was profoundly devoted to his family, enjoyed spending time with them, and truly loved them unconditionally.
A Time to Serve: Timothy was an inspiring example of a servant and friend who generously gave his time and talents for the benefit of others. He was actively involved in the community and often provided school supplies and back packs for back-to-school events; assisted with clothing and food drives during the holiday season; and gave freely to anyone in need. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him—DemBois, Masonic Brothers, Eastern Star Sisters, and his life-long DCHS brothers and sisters.
A Time to Rest: On Monday, February 26, 2018, Timothy answered his final call and quietly transitioned to his place of peace.
A Time to Cherish: Fond memories will forever be cherished by his parents, Patricia and Willie Holmes and Johnny Baker; four children, Keyandrea Joyner, Tierra Baker, Tianna Baker, and Torrie Baker; a loving confidant, Nekeshia Baker; special friend, Erika Carver; and a loving and devoted companion, Demetrease Asberry; six siblings, Kevin (Nakia) Baker and Nicoha (Antwaun) Ford of Orange Park, FL, Rodriqueze (Valerie) Williams, Anthony Hunter, and Delois (Jerome) Jackson of Albany, GA, and Tamala Washinton of Washington, DC; grandson, Ortavious Capers; his granddaddy, Willie C. Holmes; three devoted aunts, Wanda Kirkland, Gloria McDowell, and Ruby Peterson; two great aunts, Louise Davis and Janie Frazier; his uncle and mentor, David Peterson affectionately known by Tim as "Super D"; a great uncle, Henry Lee Lewis; dedicated cousin, Gwendolyn Covin; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.
