Obituary

Tomeka V. Hill, daughter of  Nancy Floyd and the late Joseph Hill, was born July 30, 1977, in Albany, Georgia.

She was educated in the Dougherty County School System and was active in numerous extra-curricular activities and functions.  Throughout school, she was an inquisitive young lady with a passion for learning.

At a young age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior. She was an active member of Second Bethesda Baptist Church who dearly loved the Lord and remained a faithful servant throughout life's journey.

A joy to be around, Tomeka was a very genuine, kind-hearted, simplistic person who embraced life's experiences with open arms.  She never met a stranger and felt most content when helping others.  Being a mother and grandmother was one of the greatest joys of her life.  She loved unconditionally, was truly dedicated to her family, and never missed an opportunity to bond and spend quality time with them.  Her unwavering spirit, positive attitude, beautiful smile, and great sense of humor left a lasting impression that will long be remembered by all who loved her dearly.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Tomeka transitioned from this earthly life to everlasting rest and peace with the Lord.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Maddox, Jr.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her mother Nancy Kendrick Floyd; two daughters, Temetrius Williams and Tepetrius Hill; grandson, Graycen Saunders; stepfather, Melvin Floyd; and a host of other relatives and friends.
