Obituary

Tony Lee Brown, Sr. was born in Parrot, Georgia on September 18, 1965.  He was the son of the late James and Willie Mae Brown.

As a youth, Tony professed his faith and belief in Christ Jesus and united with the Macedonia Baptist Church of Parrot.  Throughout life's journey, he remained prayerful in his daily walk.

During his early school years, he attended the public schools of Terrell County.  He later completed his education at the Kentucky Job Corps Center.  Having been thoroughly convinced as a youngster that he would some day drive an 18 wheeler, Tony completed the requirements to earn his Commercial Driver's License (CDL).  His keen interest in "big rigs" guided him to a career in the transportation industry.  As an over-the-road transportation specialist for various trucking companies, he traveled throughout the United States ensuring that manufactured products, services, and goods were delivered to customers in a timely manner.  He took pride in his driving skills and always put safety first.

On February 14, 2007, Tony married his soulmate, Belinda Solomon.  They shared a love and a devotion to each other that was strong and   unshakeable.  As a husband and father, he took great care in providing for his family and meeting their needs.  Tony was a witty, fun-loving,   generous individual with an endless reservoir of love for his family and friends; enjoyed bowling and fishing; and was truly a joy to be around.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand and never asked anything in return.

On April 29, 2021, Tony transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents, siblings, and grandsons.

He leaves fond memories that will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Belinda Solomon Brown; his children, Sademic (Tikeya) Blocker, Travis Blocker, Tony Brown, Jr., and Alesha Brown all of Albany, GA; aunt and uncle, Rilla Mae Peters of Albany, GA and Louis Brown of Atlanta, GA; brothers– and sister-in-law, Reginald Solomon of Hartford CT, and Roger Graham and Ruth Ann Milledge both of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
