IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Travis
Williams
June 20, 1980 – January 21, 2023
The journey of life for Travis Williams began on June 20, 1980, in Leesburg, Georgia. He was the beloved son of Ozell Williams III and Teresa W. Morris.
He was educated in the Lee County School System, graduating from Lee County High School. Throughout school, Travis was a lively, strong-willed young man who was always ready for adventure. He loved all sports, but football and basketball were his favorites. While at Lee County High, he was a proud Trojan and an exceptional athlete. He continued his education at Albany State University with a major in Physical Education. His physical prowess, natural ability and talent, and unmatched determination proved to be some of the greatest assets throughout his life.
Travis was a very ambitious, persistent, and conscientious young man with a strong desire to become a young entrepreneur. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, he became the owner of Trendsetter Barber and Beauty Salon. In later years, he transitioned to a career in the transportation industry as owner and operator of JKT Transportation Cargo General Freight LLC (named for his three children). Travis' career was defined by hard work, high expectations, and unquestionable integrity—always seeking optimal solutions to complex problems.
Simply a true joy to everyone around him, Travis had endless reservoir of love for family and friends. His contagious smile and happy demeanor could light up a room and there was never a dull moment when in his presence. He was quite possibly the best father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend anyone could ever hope for and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
On January 21, 2023, Travis transitioned from this earthly journey to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Catherine (Burch) Lawson, Mary Williams, David Dariso, Sr., and Ozell Williams, Jr.; and one sister, Latresa Williams..
