Tshombie, renowned for his amiable and benevolent nature, consistently extended a helping hand to others. His endearing qualities of humor, compassion, and empathy left a lasting impression on many. Fondly referred to by various names like Tee, Shon, Ken, Buck, and Head, he held a special place in the hearts of numerous individuals.
Born on March 24, 1981, in Albany, Georgia, Tshombie Kenyanna McGhee was the youngest child of Charlie and Annie McGhee, welcomed into the world at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Embracing his faith through a commitment to JESUS AS HIS LORD AND SAVIOR, he became a member of Green Grove Baptist Church in Dawson, Georgia. Surrounded by loved ones, he peacefully departed his earthly life on April 9, 2024, at his residence in Smyrna, Georgia.
Educated within the Dougherty County School System, Tshombie attended Dougherty and Monroe High Schools. He later received a degree in Welding from Albany Technical College.
Demonstrating expertise in manual labor, he showcased his skills at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia, as an aircraft welder. His professional journey encompassed roles at Proctor and Gamble, the Marine Corp Logistic Base, and Gerdau Steel in Albany, Georgia.
Tshombie's warmth shone brightest in the company of his family and friends. He found joy in sharing special moments with his loved ones, partaking in games, watching football, and exhibiting his culinary prowess as a grill master. He was an avid participant in lottery games. He excelled in repairing and fabricating a diverse array of items, ranging from electronics to automobiles.
He is survived by his wife, Lila; son, Tshombie Jr. (Tj); mother, Annie McGhee; father, Charlie McGhee (Cheri); siblings, Senique Miller (William), Uguanda Simpson (Aj), Nicolious McGhee (Benita), Ricardo Whitfield, and Christy Harris (Chris); step-siblings, Brian Morris and Apryl Thomas; nieces, Uchuandala Miller, Najee Green (Bertrail), S'hani Simpson, Gabriella McGhee, Chloe McGhee, and nephews Samuel McGhee and JaMarius Albritten; along with two great-nieces, four great-nephews, and a host of close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by sister Keisha Albritten.
