IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ulysee "Bill"
Williams
October 10, 1931 – August 20, 2022
Ulysee Williams was born in Calhoun County, Georgia on October 10, 1931. He was one of seven children born in the union of the late Nathan and Queen Williams.
After moving to Warwick, Georgia with his family, he received his formal education in the Worth County School System. Throughout school, he was a very inquisitive and insightful student who garnered much from his educational experiences.
At an early age, Ulysee accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He dearly loved the Lord, remained prayerful and humble, and never ceased to give thanks for his many blessings.
Ulysee was united in holy matrimony to Nina Sue Taylor who preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband and father who worked untiringly to provide for his family through his employment as a mechanic with Swift Chemicals. Ulysee was a loyal, dependable employee and took great pride in his work and his exceptional skills until retirement. Never satisfied with idleness after retirement, he re-entered the workforce selling fruit and vegetables in the Albany area and was given the names "Green Man" and "Watermelon Man" by many of his customers.
Simply a true joy to everyone around him, "Bill" as he was often called, had a spirit of sunshine that could be felt by all who encountered him. His love for family and friends was infinite and he cherished each moment spent with them. He had a gigantic heart, was a friend you could always count on, and gave of himself freely—never asking anything in return. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
Ulysee faced the sunset of his earthly life on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at his residence. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Robert Williams, Mary Williams, Laura Williams, and Gladys Williams.
Cherished memories will forever remain with his devoted son and daughter, Alan (Sherry) Williams of Albany, GA and Melissa Williams of Macon, GA; two sisters, Bernice Williams and Frances Waters of Warwick, GA; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
