IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wade Lanier
Tucker
March 27, 1961 – October 13, 2020
Wade Lanier Tucker was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia on March 27, 1961, to the late Estella Tucker. Many of his childhood years were spent in Ocilla, Georgia under the guiding hands of his loving grandparents, the late Wiley Tucker and Vianner McFadden Tucker.
Wade lived a happy childhood, surrounded by his extended family, and excelled in sports at a very young age. After his graduation from Fitzgerald High School in 1979, his talent in football led him to accept a place on the United States Air Force Academy Football team.
Upon leaving the Air Force, Wade settled in Albany, Georgia where he later became a faithful member and Deacon at The New Greater Grace Church of God in Christ. He found employment with Bandag Tires, and then moved on to work for and retire from Proctor & Gamble Inc.
On the morning of October 13, 2020 Wade was called to his heavenly home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife Gloria Tucker; and two brothers Thaddeus Tucker and Jafford Tucker.
Wade leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Sylvia Redding Tucker; his children Maurice Williams, Elise Tucker, Wade Tucker Jr., Leslie (Monique) Tucker, Ramona Redding Carter (Carey Carter), Alexis Redding, Kieshonta Redding and Jeremy Redding; siblings, Lisa Tucker (Nathaniel Hampton), and Viannia (Tracy) Hodge (Walter Hodge); grandchildren, Princeton Williams, Wade Tucker III, Phillip Covin, Demontravious Covin, Eddie Redding, Madison Redding, Makaih Redding, Maxium Redding, Jessie Redding, and Morgan Proctor; two grandsons who were raised as his own, Christopher Redding and Jae'lyn Redding; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
