Walter Charles Holmes, son of the late Willie C. Brooks and Rosa Hill, was born in Morgan, Georgia on May 18,1960.

He received his early childhood and secondary education in the Terrell County School System.

From childhood, Walter had a deep interest and longing for the great outdoors that followed him into adulthood and, ultimately, shaped his career.  Although largely self-taught, Walter pushed himself daily to become a successful businessman and owner of Cee's Lawn Service. The love that he had for nature was evident in the lawns he tended, which became his company's signature.  He took great pride in the service that he provided while transforming lawns and shrubbery into lush, verdant landscapes.

Endearingly called "Cee" by family and friends, Walter was a devoted companion, loving father, nurturing grandfather, caring brother, awesome uncle, and loyal friend.  He believed deeply in unconditional love, enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, treasured spending time with family and friends, and delighted in helping others. His one-of-a-kind personality, love, friendship, and encouraging words will always be remembered.

Walter peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest on Sunday, November 25, 2023.  Although his departure leaves a void, he has left enduring footprints that will forever be engrained in our hearts.

Cherished memories will incessantly remain with his son, Carlos Johnson; his loving companion of 15 years, Sabrina Bridges; bonus children, Zykeriah, Shambria, and Deonté Bridges; siblings, Ella, Mattie (Harry), Delois (Charles), Donna, Donnell, Linnell, and Willie Curtis; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
