Obituary

Walter Lue Warren was born on November 16, 1941, in Dawson, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Felix and Viola Williams.

She was educated in the public schools of Terrell County and graduated from Terrell Academy. While attending Terrell Academy, she was active in numerous school organizations and activities.

Throughout her life, Walter Lue held fast to her belief that work is honorable. She was a persistent, hardworking individual who skillfully balanced her responsibilities as a mother and homemaker with her employment as a Welder with Liliston Corporation. For more than 20 years, she taught her children the value of hard work as she labored tirelessly at Liliston, and went the extra mile to provide for her family.

Loving mother and grandmother, caring sister, nurturing aunt, reliable cousin, and compassionate friend, Walter Lue was a good natured, generous lady with a big heart and a pleasure to be around. She believed deeply in unconditional love, enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, treasured spending time with family and friends, and delighted in helping others—never asking anything in return. Her love, friendship, commitment, and encouraging words will always be remembered.

On Friday November 16, 2018, Walter Lue's earthly journey ended as she quietly entered into eternal rest. Although our hearts ache with sorrow, we were so blessed to have shared her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Williams.

She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her children, Willie James (Emma) Warren, Louise Cheatham, Felecca (Raymond) Kendricks, Dewayne (Detrice) Cheatham, and Jackie Warren; one sister, Daisy Williams; grandchildren, Alexis Harris, Denae Cheatham, Kowanda Cheatham, Daryl Gill, Earl Warren, Monae Cheatham, and Louise Cheatham, Jr.; great grandchildren, Kayden Harris, Aiden Harris, and Kaylin Cheatham; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
