Wesley Williams, beloved son of the late James and Odessa Williams, was born in Albany, Georgia on November 22, 1958. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very early age.
He attended the public schools of Dougherty County and participated in numerous school functions and activities.
Wesley had a strong sense of duty and responsibility which carried over into his career as a firefighter for the City of Albany. He was a completely selfless person who always put others first. As a firefighter, he was often confronted with danger; but he worked untiringly through the years to ensure the safety of others until his retirement.
Family and friends were central in Wesley's life and he enjoyed spending quality time with them. He loved unconditionally, laughed often, and lived life to the fullest. His smile and inspiring presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
The journey of life ended for Wesley on Sunday, December 31, 2017, as he transitioned to his eternal home.
