Willie C. Chambers, Sr., loving son of the late Tobe Chambers and Lizzie Beth Williams Chambers, was born in Dawson, Georgia on August 12, 1937.

He received his formal education in the Terrell County School System and was active in various school activities and events.

At an early age, Willie C. accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He dearly loved the Lord, remained prayerful and humble, and never ceased to give thanks for his many blessings.

Willie C. was united in holy matrimony to his life-long mate, Mary. Their union endured for 65 years as they honored their vows to love and cherish
each other. He was a devoted husband and father who worked untiringly to provide for his family. For more than 30 years, he was a loyal and dependable employee of Albany Welding Company. Willie C. took great pride in his work and his exceptional skills until his retirement.

Simply a true joy to everyone around him, Willie C. had a spirit of sunshine that could be felt by all who encountered him. His love for family and friends was infinite and he cherished each moment spent with them. He had a gigantic heart, was a friend you could always count on, and gave of himself freely—never asking anything in return. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.

Willie C. faced the sunset of his earthly life on November 25, 2021. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Tobe Chambers, Jr., Jay Lee Chambers, David Lee Chambers, Nellie B. Crawford, and Ira Dene Hunt.

Cherished memories will forever remain with his beloved wife, Mary Chambers; his children, Willie C. Chambers, Jr., Mychel (Alma Marie) Chambers, Roger (Dorothy) Chambers, Jimmie Chambers, Timmy Chambers, Sr., Charles Chambers, and Robert (Betty) Chambers; siblings, Eltha Lee Taylor Chambers, Roosevelt (Constance) Chambers, Jimmie Lee (Claudia) Chambers, Arthur James Chambers, Jessie (Valerie) Chambers, Beth Justice Chambers, and Jerry Dene Anderson Chambers; grandchildren, Nytoria, Porshe, Robert, Sheema, Timmy Jr., Furnandess, Vershaad, Courtney, Nyland, Tajuanna, Lajuanna, and Shajuanna; special friends, Bob Alexander, Anthony Peters, Glen Davenport, Dalry Vains, and Marcus Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
