Born on October 5, 1940, Willie Ruth’s journey spanned more than eight decades, each year an unfolding story of grace, steadfastness, and love.

In the softness of her name and the quiet dignity she embodied, Willie Ruth Cunningham leaves behind an indelible mark upon all whose lives she touched. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel, located at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, GA. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Oakridge Baptist Church, 1708 West Oakridge Drive, Albany, GA, with burial following at Union Memorial Cemetery, 1100 South McKinley Street, Albany, GA.
