Obituary

Deacon Willie James Hall was born in Albany, Georgia on August 23, 1942.  He was the beloved son of the late Earnest Jackson and Annie Mae Hall.

He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System.  Throughout school, he was a very bright and inquisitive young man who garnered much from his educational experiences.

Willie James was raised in a strong Christian home where he was nurtured in the Word of God.  At a very early age, he began his steadfast journey with the Lord at St. Kline Baptist Church.  As his love for God and the church strengthened, he was ordained as a Deacon, and thereafter, devoted himself to unparalleled commitment and service to his calling. Over the years, Deacon Hall also blended his uniquely rich voice with other members of the Choir to praise God and minister in song.  Yes, he stayed on the battlefield until his demise.

Deacon Hall was a man of many skills, talents, and unquestionable work ethics.  He was a renown, award-winning dog trainer with 62 combined years of work experience at Tallassee Plantation, The Oaks Plantation, and Muckalee Plantation.  He was proud of his training skills and accomplishments; never shied away from a challenge; and always gave his best —no matter what the task.

Loving father, nurturing grandfather, committed brother, caring uncle, unforgettable cousin, and loyal friend, Deacon Hall's heart was filled with kindness, care, and compassion.  He was a friend you could count on, a great listener, gave of himself freely, loved unconditionally, and impacted the lives of everyone around him in a very special way.

On April 2, 2024, Almightly God in his infinite wisdom and power called his faithful servant home.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Hall; and three siblings, Johnny B. Walden, Edmond, and Fannie Mae Jones.

His memory will be forever cherished by his loving children, Mary Green, Willie Ellis, and Demetrius Oliver, Sr. of Albany, GA, Regina (Charlie) Jones of Hinesville, GA, and Belinda (Daniel) Clinton of Leesburg, GA; his former wife and longtime friend, Rosa Mae Hall; two siblings, Geneva Bond and Henry (Carrie) Walden, Sr.; grandchildren, Quentin, Tereka, Peron, Charlie, Errika (Gabriel), Cartez, James, Jasmine (Antonio), Jessica, Janessa, and Demetrius; great grandchildren, Temoni, Jartavious, Hezekiah, Gavin, Tereka, Taria, Hava, Payton, and Greyson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
