IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willie P.
Harris
May 23, 1940 – April 29, 2020
Willie Pearl Harris, beloved daughter of Roosevelt Jones, Sr. and Reatha Mae Hall-Jones, was born May 23, 1940, in Blakely, Georgia.
She married to the late Deacon Elijah Honey Harris on October 4, 1957 and began living in Albany, Georgia for many years.
"Pearl", as she was so affectionately called by many, heeded the call of Christ and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior after uniting with the Holy Cathedral Ministry under the leadership of Apostle Isaiah Revills in 1963. Through the years, she remained steadfast and unmovable; always giving God the glory and the praise, and in 1969 she witnessed the Word of God.
A few years passed and she moved back home to Blakely, Georgia and joined Faith Holiness Church in 1993 under the leadership of Pastor Louise Williams. She served as a faithful member for many years. In 2010 she joined Greater Deliverance Ministry under the leadership of her daughter, Pastor Letitia Tinson. She was very active and supportive of her church and Pastor, always in attendance until her health began to fail.
Pearl's heart was filled with love for others. She put a lot of effort into making others happy, always had a positive attitude, was quick to smile and laugh, and was an expert at making people feel special.
Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, Pearl enjoyed the basics of life and treasured the time spent with her family. Her doors were always open and her table was always spread not only to family, but to anyone who stopped by.
On April 29, 2020, she transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life. In addition to her mother and father, and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Apostle Alexander Jones-Harris, stepchildren, Agnew and Tyra Harris, and siblings Mary Hutchins, Rosa Lee, Azzie Williams, Jack Jones, Eleanor Sapp, Willie C. Jones, Roosevelt "June" Jones Jr, and AJ Jones.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her children, Evangelist Samuella Harris-Lee (Bobby), Apostle Michael Harris (Christin), Pastor Letitia Tinson, and Mysin Harris, stepchildren,Wendell Harris (Elaine Harris), Lorenzo Harris, and Edna Hardy, her siblings, twin sister, Evangelist Bennie Pearl Sapp, Pastor Mary Louise McCoy, Ann West (Johnny), McArthur Jones, Thelma Gilbert, and Jonny C. Jones.
Pearl loved all of her grandchildren beyond measure, in fact so much that she raised the following as her very own, TraSheba Harris, TraMeka Harris (Charles Jones), Tranita Harris, Taiesha "Taisie" Power, and Travis Harris. Also cherishing her memories are grandchildren, Alexia Harris, Bryan Tinson, Octavious Tinson, Michael Harris Jr., Alex Harris, Ladonna Harris, Tatyana Harris, and Charleston Stringer, great grandchildren, Jawante Davis, D'onte Davis, Charles Jones Jr., Aquez Harris, Aaliyah Wilson, Aniyah Wilson, Ayden George, Amari Douglas, Tabryah Tinson, Matavious Danzeg, Ka'Miyah Harris, Ava Harris, and Ariel Harris, very special nieces and nephews she also raised as her own children, Mary Hutchins, Alisa Hutchins, Renee Hutchins, Edward Hutchins, Duncan McClendon, Catina McClendon and Derrick McClendon, and a host of other family and friends.
