IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willie Pearl
Newton
November 21, 1941 – November 27, 2024
The season of life for Willie Pearl Moore Newton began on November 21, 1941, in Damascus, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Charlie Moore and Dora Gilbert.
During the early years of her life, she attended the public schools of Early County. Throughout her school years, she was a fun-loving, adventurous young lady who garnered much from her educational experiences and extra-curricular activities.
Willie Pearl had the great advantage of growing up in a home in where she was taught to love God very early in life. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior; was baptized; and received the right hand of fellowship into the body of Christ at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Damascus. She was a faithful servant who remained steadfast and prayerful in her daily walk.
Pearl, as she was sometimes called, was a devoted mother whose hands were never idle. Through the years, she taught her children the value of hard work as she labored tirelessly as a reliable and dedicated caregiver. No matter what the task, she stayed the course to ensure that nothing was ever left undone—always giving her very best.
A joy to be around, Willie Pearl was a very genuine, kind-hearted, simplistic lady who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She never met a stranger, could converse with anyone who came into her life, and felt most content when serving others. Nothing brought as much satisfaction to her as spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren who held the keys to her heart. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering spirit, generosity, and unconditional love.
On November 27, 2024, Willie Pearl transitioned from this earthly season to eternal peace and rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Morre; one grandchild, Reco Moore; and four siblings, Mary Doris Thompson, Lucille Moore, Ethel Moore, and Charlie Moore.
Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of her sons, Donnie (Emily) Moore of Newark, NJ and Eugene (Elouise) Perry of Albany, GA; her grandchildren, Donnie Terry, Latonia Jenkins, Courtney Moore, Neiyeal (Regina) Alford, Misty Alford, Tinesha Moore, Ashley Reed, Joshua (Lisa) Moore, Schenita (Roosevelt) Washington, Lakesia Williams, and Yolanda Jackson; a very special cousin, Henry (Diane) Hallman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
