Willie Lee Stanley, Jr. was born January 24, 1963, in Albany, Georgia.  He was the loving son of the late Willie Stanley and Lillie Comelia Stanley.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School.  While at Monroe, he was active in numerous school functions and events.

During the early years of his life, Willie heeded the call of Christ and began his journey of unwavering stewardship.  He was a member of Church of God in Christ where he served faithfully under the leadership and guidance of Pastor Aaron Caldwell.

Through the years, Willie held fast to his belief in loyalty, commitment, and strong work ethics.  He was a dedicated employee of Alcorn who went "above and beyond" to ensure that his job performance exceeded standards.  In every situation, he always gave his BEST.

"Bobo" as he was affectionately called, enjoyed the simple things in life.  He was humble, caring, giving, had a big heart,  found joy in every circumstance.  Spending time with family and friends was very important to him and he never missed an opportunity to "get together" in love and harmony.  Willie was a man who genuinely cherished every moment of his life—always looking forward to a better tomorrow.

On May 14, 2022, Bobo transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Sandra Denise Stanley, John A. Stanley, and Ulysees Walker.

Fond memories will forever remain with his sisters, Comelia Yvonne (Elvis) Carr and Teresa A. Stanley; nieces and nephews, Montavious V. (Tiffany) Stanley, Naketha A. Brown, Contravis Stanley, Kylah Denise Brooks, and Mason Jordan Stanley; stepbrother, Scott Dozier; a very special friend, Chylene Grant; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
