With profound respect, we announce the passing of Willie Thomas, who departed this life on June 10, 2026.
To honor Mr. Thomas, a public viewing will be held on June 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel, located at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, Georgia. The funeral service will take place the following day, June 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Doretha H. Payne Chapel at Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel. Mr. Thomas will then be laid to rest with dignity at the Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia, with burial services commencing at 2:00 PM on June 29, 2026.
